“Though the fig tree may not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls , yet I will rejoice in the LOrd, I will be joyful in God my Saviour. The sovereign Lord is my Strength ; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer , he enables me to go on the heights. “Hab – 3:17-19

This verse just says nothing but enjoy His rest and keep praising Him no matter what the circumstance. It is not about what you have or what people around you have that is going to matter but it is who you believe in that matters because Jesus Christ gives peace like no other.

He gives peace not like the world but in a way only He can give. That kind of peace and rest will come to your knowledge if you Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind your spirit, soul and body should be in Him and the flesh shall take second place.Once you became his child you become heirs to the inheritance in heaven thus you should reach a stage no matter what the circumstance you will enjoy His presence and rest in Him

Resting is all about surrendering oneself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When we open our hearts to Him we are not only accepting him as our Saviour but also Lord of our Life. It’s about knowing He is in control and not you or other people.

Many might ask how – this is how – do u know when any illness is going to come upon you or rather can you predict it? do you know the time of your death, do you know in detail what your future is going to be like i.e. you maybe an excellent student but you may not get the results you have expected because you might have been sick, you missed a question or the invigilator was sleeping while she/he was looking through your answers.

In these circumstances can any human being give a valid reason for one’s misfortune or unexpected outcome. We are not merely time plus matter plus chance we are people made in the Image of God – made a little lower than the angels and given authority over every living creature.
Like Blaise Pascal the 17th century French Mathematician put it – “There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus”

Excellent reminder Jeeva! Indeed becoming a Christian is the most liberating experience a person can ever have.

But its so easy to fall back into the former way of fretting about our troubles, as if worrying about things beyond our control can turn even a single hair on our heads black or grey:)

“So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.”
    1 Peter 5:7 (The Message)

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”
Romans 8:28 (New King James Version)

So then we who are the called have access to the “peace of God that transcends all understanding” (Phil 4:7). The Bible promises us that God plans everything so that ultimately it all adds up to our benefit although it may not be immediately apparent. Little wonder then that the world doesn’t get it when we leave our very lives to Him! 🙂 God will take care of everything for He is Lord over everything, the depths of the sea to the highest mountain peaks – He holds our lives in the palm of His hands, so lets stop worrying and trust God fully.
